This site was initially started on a whim when I got a new vehicle in 2000. I wanted a U2 related license plate, but had no idea what to use. There were plenty of people out there who had plates and ideas, and there was no single source for this information, hence a website for this information.

    On February 14, 2002, the domain www.u2licenseplates.com was bought and I transferred to a new format for the page.

    On October 11th, 2002, I finally got around to accepting the redesigned layout from Chris to be a bit more appealing and business like.

    On January 14th, 2004, I moved the site to a new server.

    On April 4, 2007, www.u2licenseplates.com changed hands. The site is now part of the U2WorldService network of sites.

www.u2licenseplates.com is a fan run site. We have no affiliation with U2, Principle Management, Island, Universal, or any other affiliated organization to U2.
